Latin Mass, Nazis and anti-Semitism: What is pope Francis thinking?

An article in the Washington Post (originally reported by Lilly Fowler, the religion reporter for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, August 6, 2014) talked about the “rising popularity of the Latin Mass.” Because pope Francis has not been wearing some of the fancy garments that previous popes (like pope benedict) wore, some Roman Catholics were worried that Francis wouldn’t  be saying the old Latin Mass – called the Tridentine Mass -- and that not saying it was threatening  traditional worship.

But the Latin Mass, not much celebrated for the last few decades is “alive and well”.  In fact, according to the Post, “a throwback movement is growing, in many cases with young people leading the charge.”  There is even a Coalition in Support of Ecclesia Dei, a nonprofit based in Glenview, Ill., that promotes the Latin Mass. There is a slow but steady rise in the practice, with more than 400 churches offering the Latin mass today.

This is really dangerous.  Why? Because the Tridentine Mass has long been associated with anti-Semitism and Nazis – including neo-Nazis.   I previously posted information about this Mass (9/14/13 and 5/20/14) because many people do not know the history.  There are others who do know the history and promote this Mass for their own agendas.

Back in 2011 Nicole Winfield reported (09/16/11 Huffington Post) that Jewish groups were worried about the vatican’s relationship with a group of Catholics, including a bishop, Richard Williamson, who denies that the Holocaust ever happened -- that Nazi gas chambers were used for mass killing.  This Swiss-based society of st. pius X (SSPX) believes that Christ's death was the fault of all Jews. They favor the Tridentine Mass because it includes a prayer that asks God to lift the veil so they [Jews] may be delivered from their darkness.

The real darkness is in the black heart of this neo-Nazi society and popes who support it: Benedict who said SSPX could come back into the “fold” without having to give up their beliefs and lifted Williamson’s excommunication; and Francis gave indications that he might welcome SSPX back by supporting a Pontifical Commission called Ecclesia Dei, which has tried to lead the SSPX flock back into the fold.

SSPX allows convicted Nazi war criminals to be buried in their church cemeteries. In the 1990s the group had harbored Nazi collaborator and war criminal Paul Touvier.   Archbishop Augustine Di Noia, one of Rome’s top dogs, wrote a letter to SSPX priests, pleading for “reconciliation and healing.”

SSPX is a growing danger because they have six seminaries, three universities and 70 primary and secondary schools around the globe. In addition to Williamson it has three other bishops, more than 550 priests and 200 priests in training.  Are they training to incite another Holocaust?   Pope Francis doesn’t talk about the real issues -- these skeletons in the vatican closet.

  1. Looking back on what I can remember about being Catholic" which do to the circumstances beyond my control" that happened to me; abuse, rape, torture, brain washing and nobody is held accountable for & also for the life it takes out of a human being; looking at and seeing what went on then and now" Vatican, Middle East, all around the world the evil, hate, murdering" all in the name of Religion" I will call it as I see it and hear on the news;" all Religions are bad for your mental, emotional, physical Health..............

  2. Like you I remember the abuse, rape and torture and I wish it never happened to us and to countless others. You are so right when you say "Religions are bad for your mental, emotional and physical health." Religion gets in the way of praying to God because so many people who claim to be religious are evil and hiding behind God so they can get away with their ungodly deeds. Thank you for being brave and outspoken, we need many more people like you.

  4. The Nazis and the catholic church worked together because they wanted the same things: a supply of people to abuse, torture and rule over. The only difference is that the church used God as their cover up while the Nazis thought they were gods. Now, the church keeps the neo Nazis around in case they want some dirty work done -- or maybe they want to work with the Nazis to take over the world. We are stopping the pope, priest, nuns and vatican-- it may not be quick enough for some of us but we are winning. Stopping them has to come from people like us, joined by many others who don't drink the catholic kool aid. We need to make sure that the media hear our voices; we need to join and support the survivor groups that fight continuously to stop the church, we need to tell everyone just what has and is going on, just like you are doing. We will win!

  8. George Barilla The truth for so many years has been silenced ( the victims always silenced ) by the Vatican. The only way to get the truth out there and keep it out there is to have a weekly reality TV show " these days the people like reality TV shows;' wonder if people would be able to handle this reality;" how baby's and children have been treated for decades by Priest,Nuns,Pope,Vatican" if I had the money I would of started a reality show as soon as I knew what had happened to me an who did it. The Catholic who are still drinking their Kool-Aid"need to get with the rest of us" to put an end to the Catholic abuse and for all of us pitch in, start a reality TV show;" this is the only way to keep the truth going so we can put an end to; No More Abuse on Children by Catholic Priest, Nuns,Pope, Vatican and all of the people who cover up for them............Justice for All...............

  9. The Pope is NOT the representative of Christ on earth, but rather, he is the "Chief Operating Officer" of the corporation know at the "Catholic Church Inc.", and his job is to simply keep the finances of the Catholic Church out of the RED! ----- He could care less about the souls of the "faithful!" ---- The "faithful" are there to be used and abused so that the Catholic Church can continue to grow, and be a moving force in international politics. The Pope is not in his position to give justice to the "faithful," rather he is there to manipulate the "faithful," and in the process, get them to believe blindly in the Catholic Church, and give all of their money to the church. There is no truth in the Catholic Church, and if we are waiting for the Pope to give us justice we will be waiting a VERY LONG TIME! ---- We believe that the Nazi's were an evil organization, but the Catholic Church protected the Nazi's after WW2 by making it possible form them to get out of Europe thus avoiding prosecution for their war crimes against humanity. So, the Catholic Church ignored the killing of the Jews, their own priests & nuns, and other groups in order to protect the Nazi Criminals, and fulfill the deal that was made by the Pope during WW2. YES, they were protecting the bottom financial line then, like they are doing it now! DO NOT TRUST the Catholic Church and the Catholic Clergy! They are fakes, frauds and phonies! They will use you and when they are finished they will discard you!
