This link is for the website “We the People” set up by
the Obama Administration to allow U.S. citizens to create petitions on topics
of the people’s choice. It sounds like a
good idea but before the Administration will look at it there must be 100,000
signatures on the petition. When it gets to 150 signatures it is
searchable. For most people, especially
those who are abused or disadvantaged or disabled it is too difficult to get
all of the signatures and that is the comment I sent to the Whitehouse. Does Obama want that many signatures because
it is a significant number of voters and then it’s important to the
Administration?
That said, I am trying to get as many people as I can to
sign the petition that asks to have all rapists (including priests) registered
as sex offenders. Maybe if that was the law what happened to me and to
thousands of other children would not have happened. Here is what the petition says:

My memory of the Catholic School day's are locked away in my mind " due to the abuse" by Fr. Thomas Hanley" at St. Paul's School in Wilm, De. I didn't realize this happened to me until I was in my fifty's. I believe now here in 2014, that the rapist found a loophole in the religious system;" become a Priest and you can get away with rape & murder" the Catholic Priest are protected by the Oath" and the Statute of limitation
ReplyDeleteGeorge Barilla, Thank you for posting The Petition" I hope we are able to get the signatures that is required" so the Catholic Priest & Nuns who rape & (raped) children" will be treated as a sex offender" even though they wear the black and white uniform;" they are still rapist;" wasn't it Obama/Biden when running for their second term; didn't they say on the news" that rape is rape; but why don't they look at the Catholic Priest as rapist;" Also" on the news I heard that our government pays to the Catholic Diocese $2.9 Billion dollars " to help the poor.

DeleteThank you for writing the petition. I sent it to other websites and family and friends for them to sign. One reason that the government turns its head when catholic priests should get treated like the criminals they are is because the church pays lobbyists to stop any efforts to bring them to justice. So your idea to put a petition on a government website is right on target.

ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the petition on your pg. and sending to all other's to post and sign" I just want us ( victims ) to be able to get all the signatures" that is required to have the Priest's and Nun's " Registered Sex Offenders" for the justice to begin once & for all.
I don't have a phone plan with texting but if someone uses Twitter and Facebook and puts the link to the petition into these systems there could be many more signers of the petition.
